Sierra Bancorp is a California corporation, and is a registered bank holding company under federal banking laws. It was formed primarily to serve as the holding company for Bank of the Sierra (the “Bank”), and has been the Bank’s sole shareholder since August 2001.

Bank of the Sierra is a California state-chartered bank headquartered in Porterville, California, which opened for business in January 1978 and has grown to be the largest independent bank headquartered in the South San Joaquin Valley. The Bank is a community-centric regional bank offering a full range of retail and commercial banking services via full-service branches located throughout the southern part of California's Central Valley, the Central Coast, Ventura County, and neighboring communities. The Bank also maintains an online branch, and provides specialized lending services through an agricultural credit center and an SBA center.
